Doing great public good through inspired excellence.

So what is generosity? Will you know when you see it? Or, is generosity something that you have to dig for to better recognize and understand?

Our institute, the Generosity Institute, celebrates giving excellence.

We celebrate this excellence by sharing the stories of those nonprofits and even for-profit collaborators who make it all look easier than it is, or who are struggling to make ends meet day in and day out because they are doggedly committed to their mission.

This site is here to tell their stories. To provide you a measure of detail that will give you a deeper appreciation for what it takes to be preeminently generous.

If you see a charity or philanthropic venture profiled on these pages, know that we believe they are doing good for the communities they serve, even if we note that there could be some room for improvement.

Our purpose is not to criticize any one of the nonprofits we profile here but rather draw greater attention to the epic struggle they have undertaken to better serve you, their stakeholder.

If a charity is bad, in our opinion, you will not see them on our pages. But, please, don’t assume that if you do not see a particular charity that interests you, that means they are bad either. We are just getting started so they simply may not have yet met our profile team.

In the meantime, there are a number of initial opinion posts we would like to recommend you read about where generosity is today in America. They include:

We hope you will enjoy Generosity as much as we are enjoying bringing you their stories and the art that we call philanthropy.
