Camillus House

The Camillus House was founded 60 years ago by a Roman Catholic order known as the Little Brotherhood of the Good Shepherd.  The Brotherhood sets out to help people in need by providing overnight shelter at first and then ultimately over time a full “system of care” for the homeless and indigent of Miami-Dade County, Florida.

“Every human being is precious in the eyes of the Lord,” says Camillus House, “and deserves love, respect, and a chance to live a dignified life.”

The name Camillus comes from the Patron Saint of Nursing, Saint Camillus de Lellis.
