Newman’s Own Foundation

The actor Paul Newman and his pal, A. E. Hotchner, established a charity in 1982 that grew out of proceeds from a salad dressing Mr. Newman gave as gifts to friends.  The salad dressing, known as Newman’s Own Salad Dressing proved to be wildly popular and was eventually commercialized for good causes.

Today, Newman’s Own and its family of other favorites gives 100% of its after-tax profits and royalties from its sales to non-profit organizations focused on education and community service issues. Tasty and impactful, Newman’s Own has had a wonderful and measurable impact on the communities it serves - literally.
