Robin Hood Foundation

Fighting poverty in New York City is the mission of the Robin Hood Foundation.  This “innovative, data-driven, solutions-oriented” charity, founded in 1988, has been helping lift families in the Big Apple from poverty “measurably and sustainably.”

The Foundation is strongly supported by a highly committed board of directors from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences.  The board even ensures that all of the administrative costs of the charity are covered so that 100% of any donation is used to save and improve lives.

The Robin Hood Foundation focuses its efforts on what it terms the four life stages approach: early childhood, school-aged children, young adults, and adults and household supports.  In 2019 alone, the Foundation backed this talk up with $116 million for 372 grants and engagements with community partners.
