The obvious immediate challenge for the Foundation:

Grow the fundraising prowess of the Association to meet the rapidly evolving character of the sport and its resolve its currently fragmented nature so that solutions are common across a much broader spectrum of enthusiast.

Generosity Assessment:  The US Sailing Association will need to deepen its pool of prospective donors in a short period of time and will also need to improve its assets on hand in order to weather future market challenges that will impact any sport in America.  We believe US Sailing can do that given its long and treasured track record in the sport.  The Foundation is a great candidate for support from:

Principal & Major Gifts

Planned Gifts and Annual Funds

Program Related Investments

Social Impact Funds

Public-Private-Philanthropic Partnerships

Corporate Grants and Sponsorships

Special, Special Events and Annual Fund
